Mežaparks

Mežaparks is a historic neighbourhood of Riga. It lies in the Northern District, on the shore of Lake Ķīšezers. It takes its name from the forest park that lies here.

The historic name of the place is Ķeizarmežs, in German Kaiserwald - the Tsar's Forest. The district has carried its present name since 1924.
