Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital (Paula Stradiņa Klīniskā universitātes slimnīca)
Riga's Second City Hospital was founded in 1910 with 132 places. Its buildings were designed by the architect R. Šmēlings.
From 1931 to 1958 the institution was headed by the surgeon and academician Pauls Stradiņš. In 1958 it was given his name, which it still carries today: Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital (Paula Stradiņa Klīniskā universitātes slimnīca).
The archive photograph shows the hospital as it looked in the 1920s.
