Frequently asked questions

Below are answers to the most common questions about massage and how to use the admi.lv catalogue. If you did not find your answer - write to us.

How long does a massage session last?

A standard full-body massage session usually lasts about 60 minutes. A local massage of a single area (back, neck, feet) may take 30-40 minutes, while combined or SPA programmes run 90 minutes or more. It is best to agree on the right duration with your therapist in advance.

How many sessions make up a course?

A full massage course is usually 10 to 20 sessions, depending on the goal and your general condition. Sessions are commonly held every other day or 2-3 times a week. To maintain the effect, many people repeat a course 2-3 times a year. Your specialist can help plan the right schedule.

Can I eat before a session?

It is better not to come to a massage right after a heavy meal. Eat about 1.5-2 hours before the session and keep the meal light. It is also worth avoiding alcohol on the day of the treatment.

Is it normal to feel sore after a massage?

Mild muscle soreness for 1-2 days after the first sessions is a normal reaction, especially with deep-tissue or sports massage, and it usually passes on its own. If the pain is sharp, severe or lasts longer, tell your therapist and consult a doctor if needed.

How do I choose the right therapist?

Look at the specialisation (relaxing, therapeutic, sports and so on), experience, client reviews and rating. Every admi.lv profile lists the city, prices, massage types and contacts. Do not hesitate to ask questions before your first visit - a good specialist will always check your wishes and any contraindications.

How often can I have a massage?

A relaxing massage can be done regularly - once a week, for example. Therapeutic and deep-tissue massage is usually given in courses with intervals set by the specialist. Listen to your body and avoid overloading your muscles with overly frequent intensive sessions.
