Sukshma Vyayama Yoga

Sukshma Vyayama yoga (the yoga of subtle exercises) - a sequence of powerful exercises (asanas, breathing techniques, mudras, bandhas, kriyas) that acts very strongly on the energy body directly, and also on every layer of the energy structure, on the glands, the organs and the whole physical body of the practitioner.

The exercises are built so as to develop the muscles and strengthen the bones, and also to stimulate the work of those organs a person cannot consciously control - the digestive organs, the endocrine glands, the nervous system. Pranayama, or breathing exercise, holds an important place among them. The practice is aimed at cleansing the energy channels, the nadis. It works on various energy points in the body.

The practice can prevent or cure illness, but it is more valuable still for the way it helps you build robust health and increase your store of vital energy.

Simple exercises of this kind call for only slight physical effort, yet they have a beneficial effect on the body. People of any age can do them. They do no harm even to those who are physically weak and frail.
