Relaxing massage

A gentle massage to melt away stress and fully relax, often with aromatic oils.

As a well-known comedian once put it, our life is one long stretch of stress. Keeping your breathing even by the end of the working day does not always work, and it does not work for everyone. Your head spins and every small thing becomes irritating.

Many people feel, if not low, then at least close to running out of nervous energy. And the frustration and irritation with which people often react to trouble does nothing to solve the problem.

This is exactly where massage helps. The technique of relaxing massage is built on the link between the brain and the muscles that carry out all our movements. We are made in such a way that in moments of mental agitation the muscles tense involuntarily. The muscles, in turn, influence how we feel just as much.

The more relaxed the muscles are, the fewer impulses travel from them to the brain. And when the brain receives fewer stimulating signals from the periphery of the body, it begins to settle. It is this physiological pattern that relaxing massage makes use of. This type of massage is aimed above all at restoring and maintaining a person's energy.

The therapist's friendly attitude and attention have a calming effect. During the session anxiety eases, muscle tension drops, circulation improves and discomfort often recedes as well. The body relaxes and grows warm. Relaxing massage brings a pleasant sense of calm. During the session it helps to call up matching mental images - for instance, picturing a smooth, even surface in pale blue or soft green. The therapist helps settle the nervous system and release the excess tension that has built up. A genuinely good practitioner works with full concentration, in an almost meditative state - only then is it possible to sense a client's responses intuitively and adjust the work to them.

A full-body relaxing session is an excellent well-being procedure: it quickly eases fatigue, helps restore working capacity, guards against exhaustion and creates a good frame of mind before demanding work. A regular course of massage is one way of reducing chronic tension, which over the long term is associated with a higher risk of various health problems. Massage, however, does not replace a doctor's advice or medical treatment.

To consolidate the result, a course of 10 to 15 sessions is usually recommended.

If you have acute inflammation, a fever, thrombosis, a skin condition, are pregnant or have an oncological diagnosis, it is best to consult a doctor before the procedure.
