Latvian Railway History Museum (Latvijas Dzelzceļa vēstures muzejs)

The Latvian Railway History Museum displays a model railway covering 44 square metres, with a digital control panel - as of 2022 the largest, most modern and most extensive model railway in the Baltic states.

The model was created over several years with the participation of railway modelling enthusiasts from Latvia and the Czech Republic; most of its parts were made by hand.

The scale is 1:87. The model consists of 200 metres of track, exact copies of railway stations, 61 points, 47 signals and other elements of railway infrastructure. It also includes a small city block, a church, Tukums airport, various buildings and bridges.

Opening hours

As of 2022: Sunday and Monday closed; Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00-17:00, Thursday 10:00-20:00, Friday and Saturday 10:00-17:00.
