Rīga Zoo (Rīgas Zooloģiskais dārzs)

<p>Rīga Zoo holds the status of a national zoo. As of 2022, thirty years had passed since the status was granted.</p>
<p>As of 2022 the zoo held 398 species and 3,356 animals. The total does not include invertebrates that live in colonies, such as leafcutter ants, cockroaches, grasshoppers, locusts, stick insects and others.</p>
<p>Of these, more than a quarter of the species, or almost 38 per cent, breed at the zoo.</p>
