Latvian Railway History Museum (Latvijas Dzelzceļa vēstures muzejs)

<p>The Latvian Railway History Museum displays a model railway covering 44 square metres, with a digital control panel - as of 2022 the largest, most modern and most extensive model railway in the Baltic states.</p>
<p>The model was created over several years with the participation of railway modelling enthusiasts from Latvia and the Czech Republic; most of its parts were made by hand.</p>
<p>The scale is 1:87. The model consists of 200 metres of track, exact copies of railway stations, 61 points, 47 signals and other elements of railway infrastructure. It also includes a small city block, a church, Tukums airport, various buildings and bridges.</p>
<h3>Opening hours</h3>
<p>As of 2022: Sunday and Monday closed; Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00-17:00, Thursday 10:00-20:00, Friday and Saturday 10:00-17:00.</p>
