The Main Post Office and Telegraph building, Aspazijas bulvāris 5

<p>The Main Post Office and Telegraph building at Aspazijas bulvāris 5 was built between 1902 and 1904, in an eclectic style.</p>
<p>It was designed by the architect to the Head Office of Posts and Telegraphs, the civil engineer Leonid Novikov. The construction engineers were Julius Pfeifer and Lundsky, the contractor Ķergalvis. There was a power station of its own in the basement.</p>
<p>In 1929-1932 two storeys were added and two wings built on. In 1947-1950 the building was restored after the war for the Riga Construction Technical School, the contractor being SU-21.</p>
